What are we meant to take from a Genesis 14 account of competing Middle Eastern kings, guerrilla military operations, and meetings with people with strange names like Melchizedek? At least 2 things: 1) an encouraging assurance that we’re at the center of God’s attention; and 2) an admonishing question of whether he’s at the center of ours.
